This is me. I looked like I had it all together. I call this my sparkly, shiny exterior. Up until this photo and a number of years beyond, I had been busy, busy, busy erecting a façade of “perfection.” I had the guy, I had the hair, I had the house, by all accounts I appeared to be happy…
But on the inside, I had a dark secret. I hated my life and I couldn’t figure out why. Not only that… I hated myself for hating my life.
After years of striving, I got pretty good and being good at things. I thought the solution was to KEEP. WORKING. HARDER.
I couldn’t figure out why I constantly felt exhausted and unfulfilled. I drank and smoked and stirred up all kinds of drama to distract myself from the unhappiness and confusion. I was so unwell that I couldn’t get pregnant. “Unexplained infertility” they called it. Yet another reason to be miserable. And because I was so miserable, I made everyone else in my orbit miserable by association.
I think it was Oprah Winfrey who once said, “Life tries to get our attention. It starts out as a whisper, but if we don’t listen, it will hit us like a brick on the head.” I was too busy doing “important” things to listen to the universe.
The brick for me was the sudden, unexpected death of my mother while I was six months pregnant with the twins I worked for seven years to conceive.
Why am I telling you all this?
Because it was coaching that saved my life.
Your story is different, but I have a feeling you might see parts of yourself in the “before” version of mine.
And if you can see yourself in the before, I want you to get that you can become your own version of the “after.”
After my mom died and the twins were born, I finally gave myself permission to dive into the world of self-help.
I read Martha Beck, among others, but it was her writing in particular that led me to become certified, and eventually master certified, as a life coach. In the process I worked with many of my own life coaches.
And along the way, I experienced a metamorphosis that touched every facet of my life.
I finally understood how to be in the world in a way that made sense. I finally learned how to be myself. I finally learned how to contribute in a way that only I could.
I can finally say I am making the world a better place in a way that only I can.
And my fulfillment touches every relationship in my life. It lifts my children, my husband, my community, and the world.
We were all born to do that.

What will your “after” story be?
“The single most important reason I have moved into a more powerful place in my life & business is working with Amy Pearson.”
“Working with Amy was the single best thing I ever did for my business.”
“With Amy’s help, I fell in love with me…flaws and all. I am so much lighter and feel free. Her insight was spot on and so helpful. I took tools away from the program that I will use the rest of my life. I feel truly like an improved version of myself. It was worth every penny I spent. Time with Amy… truly life changing!”
